Your support provides K9s and their handlers with critical training to be safer and more effective on the job.

About Spike's School 

Our Spike’s School Campaign was created to address the growing need within the K9 community for high-quality training that didn’t place a financial burden on handlers or their departments. Many law enforcement departments are underfunded and thus unable to afford the training and certifications critical to the success of their K9 teams. The Search and Rescue community is largely volunteer-based, and SAR K9 handlers often pay for all training and certifications out of their own pockets.

At Spike’s K9 Fund, we believe every K9 handler should have access to the training necessary to operate at peak performance.

Spike’s School educates handlers and their K9s about best practices in various scenarios using premier lessons from exceptional, recognized trainers across the country. This critical training comes at no cost to the handler or department. The countless testimonies we’ve received from Spike’s School graduates have proven that our courses truly do make a difference for K9 teams. Quality training allows for better, more effective handling, helping to protect everyone involved.

All donations made to this campaign will go directly to our training schools for K9s and their handlers.

Sponsor K9 Trauma Kits

Every K9 handler requires a trauma kit, also known as an IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit), specific to the needs of a K9. You can ensure all of our students have them for future missions! Your donation will provide every student at one of our medical courses (20 students/course) with an IFAK to take home and use should their K9 ever get injured on the job. Fire in the Gut Sponsor

The "Fire in the Gut" Sponsorship level honors the Navy SEAL tradition, where the most motivated and improved recruit during BUD/S training would receive the Fire in the Gut award. At Spike's School, this tradition continues as we select a handler each course who demonstrates exceptional motivation and growth. As a sponsor, your company name will be featured on the embroidered biothane leash awarded to the winner, providing 15 awards throughout the year to motivated handlers!
